Kathleen Young, TCRG, serves as Teelin Business Manager, and co-owns the business with her sister, Maureen.

She was awarded her TCRG teaching certification by An Coimisiun le Rinci Gaelacha (the Irish Dancing Commission, in Dublin, Ireland) in 2009, and has been an active member of the Irish Dance Teachers Association of North America (IDTANA) since that time.

Kathleen was born and raised in New Jersey with her two sisters, Eileen and Maureen. She has been an associated with Teelin School of Irish Dance since moving to Maryland in 1998 and currently lives in Parkville with her husband and son.

Kathleen studied Irish dance with her sisters at the Peter Smith School of Irish Dance in New Jersey for 10 years and competed nationally as an Open Champion. She also competed in the button accordion and tin whistle for many years.

In addition to her family and her work for Teelin, Kathleen is the Director of the Essex Senior Center, and has been a senior administrator with Baltimore County Government since 1998. She is an honors graduate from Stockton State College, where she received a B.S. in Public Health and a Certificate in Gerontology.
