Molly Nilan, TCRG began dancing at the age of 10 at the Butler Academy of Irish Dance in Syracuse, NY, and was an active competitor for 12 years. Her competitive experience includes several placements at Regional, North American National, All-Ireland, and World Championships in solo, ceili, figure choreography, and/or dance drama events.
Molly’s love for teaching Irish Dance is just about as strong as her love for competitions, and she has over 20 years experience as an assistant teacher.
Molly was awarded her teaching certification by An Coimisiun le Rinci Gaelacha (the Irish Dancing Commission, in Dublin, Ireland) in 2008, and has been an active member of the Irish Dance Teachers Association of North America (IDTANA) since that time. She joined the Teelin School of Irish Dance in 2004.
In addition to her Irish dance interests, Molly has a career in Telecommunications Consulting. She and her husband, John, have four children.
