Thank you for your interest in booking a performance by the Teelin Irish Dance Company! We will be pleased to discuss performance options with you to best meet the needs of your function. Please send us an email or call 443-803-6853.

Performance bookings should be proposed at least two months in advance. March is our busiest month, therefore any St. Patrick's day related performances should be proposed preferably six months in advance. Before booking a performance, the following information will need to be discussed:

VENUE

  • Where would you like the Teelin Irish Dance Company to perform?
    We have performed in many different venues (such as festivals, theaters large and small, restaurants and pubs), and would be happy to discuss possibilities.
  • Is this event open to the public, or a private function?
    The Teelin School of Irish Dance is an active and enthusiastic community that enjoys attending performances by our Dance Company. Booking a performance by the Teelin Irish Dance Company has the potential to greatly increase attendance to your public events! We're also happy to perform at private parties and weddings.
  • Will there be a dressing room area?
    How much space is there near the stage for our performers "on deck" to change shoes or to change costumes?

STAGE

  • What size is the stage?
    Our performances are adaptable to many different size stages. An ideal stage size is forty feet wide, but we can accommodate a much smaller stage. Knowing the size of the stage will help to determine the number of performers and the choreography that will be possible.
  • Of what material is the stage?
    A suitable dance floor (ideally, a wood stage) must be provided. We are not able to perform on carpet (or carpeted stage platforms), pavement or concrete.

SOUND SYSTEM

  • What kind of sound system is available?
    We will bring a CD with music specifically for this performance. Will someone from our Company need to run the sound system, or will a sound technician be present? Will a microphone be provided for us to introduce the performance?

TARGET AUDIENCE

  • What is the reason for this function?
    The Teelin Irish Dance Company has a broad repertoire of choreography, adaptable to suit the needs of many different performance functions.
  • Would you like to include audience participation?
    As part of our performance, we could include a brief introduction to Irish dance, including an opportunity for the audience to learn a Beginner dance step!

LENGTH OF PERFORMANCE

  • For how long would you like our dancers to perform?
    This information, along with travel distance, will be necessary to determine how many of our performers would be able to attend. A 30 minute performance is ideal. A one hour performance will include a brief lecture and demonstration with audience participation. Other time frames may also be considered.
