Answers to Frequently Asked Questions:
What costume will my dancer wear in the Spring Show?
A summary of student costumes and class performance information will be posted as it becomes available
at this link (password-protected, access for Teelin members only).
IMPORTANT: There will be a "Costume Check" (like a dress rehearsal) in all classes April 16-20.
In which show is my class performing? In Act 1 or Act 2 of that show?
This information is not yet available. The set list for each show (which indicates which class performs when) will be developed in early winter, and information will be published as quickly as possible.
When is the Dress Rehearsal?
Dress Rehearsals will be held at the Jim Rouse Theater on Friday evening, Apr 27, and some on Saturday morning, Apr 28. A full schedule of rehearsals will be posted here when available.
How can I get tickets to the Teelin Spring Show?
Information about ticket sales will be posted here as soon as available. PLEASE NOTE: The Teelin Spring Show usually sells out. Ticket sales will open with a limit per family, and then sales will open to general public. Please get your tickets early!
Will the Teelin Spring Show be filmed?
Yes. DVD's may be purchased for each of the shows. An order form will be posted here when it is available.
Can my dancer watch the show?
Any student planning to watch part of the show from the audience must purchase a $10 student ticket. All seats in the theater require tickets. Therefore...
Yes, your dancer may watch the show but only the half of the show that they are not performing in. So if your dancer is in Act 1, during intermission they may leave backstage and watch Act 2. If your dancer is in Act 2, they can watch Act 1 and then come backstage during intermission and then perform in Act 2.
Are professional pictures taken?
This year professional pictures will NOT be offered. Our experience has been that offering pictures during the dress rehearsal takes a lot of time and coordination and often puts the dress rehearsal off schedule. Parents are encouraged to take a class photo with your own camera during the "Costume Check" week.
On the day of the show, when do I need to be at the theater and what besides costume & shoes do I need to bring?
1:00pm Show - Dancers should arrive by 12noon.
5:30pm Show - Dancers should arrive by 4:30pm.
IMPORTANT: The theater is very strict about no food in the dressing rooms or anywhere backstge, not even small snacks. Water will be provided for dancers backstage.
For dancers who are performing in both shows, you may bring a snack or light meal in a cooler or other container separate from your dance bag and clearly marked with your name. Upon arrival, drop this off at the tables on Main Street.
Young dancers are encouraged to bring an activity for backstage down time.
As always, if you have any questions, please ask!
