2010 SUMMER CAMPS - Registration Form
All Teelin Summer Camps are held at the studio in Columbia. Beginner and Tiny Toes Camps are open to any dancers. All other camps are open only to Teelin students. If in doubt of which camp to attend, please ask.
IRISH DANCE CAMPS FOR NEW BEGINNERS
For students who are interested in beginning Irish Dance, this summer camp is a fun way to learn a lot of Irish dance in a short amount of time! Each group will dance for 1 1/2 hours daily. Families are invited to watch a brief skit demonstrating their dancers' new skills on the last day of camp - bring your cameras!
(Since snow days have extended the public school sessions, the beginner dance camp has been moved to earlier in June as an "after school" activity for the week.)
New Beginners Ages 5-9 - June 7-11, 5:00-6:30pm - FULL
Cost: $125
New Beginners Ages 7&Up - July 6-9 (4 days), 11:00am-12:30pm
Cost: $100
Note: Dancers in the New Beginner and Tiny Toes camps need not purchase Irish dance shoes for this one week of camp. Dancers may participate in bare feet or ballet shoes.
TEELIN TINY TOES CAMP
Young dancers age 4- or almost 5-yrs-old will love this opportunity to learn some basic Irish dance skills through music and movement activities in a half hour class! (Recommended for kids entering pre-k or kindergarten in the fall.)

IRISH DANCE CAMPS FOR TEELIN STUDENTS
Summer Camps help to eliminate any gaps in basic technique and will introduce dancers to new skills while having fun with Teelin friends! These camps will prepare students for some of the more complicated steps in their classes next year. Prerequisites are required for each camp, based on class level during the 2009-10 school year at Teelin. If in doubt of which camp to attend, please ask.

Beg II Camp - July 6-9 (4 days), 1:00-4:00pm
(for students who were in a 2009-10 Beginner class at Teelin)
Level 1 / Level 2 Camp - June 28-July 2, 1:00-4:00pm - FULL
(for students who were in a 2009-10 Beg II or Level 1 class at Teelin)
Adv Beg / Novice Camp - July 19-23, 1:00-4:00pm
(for students entering a 2010-11 Level 3 class, or AB/N competitors with hard shoe experience)
Nov / PW Camp - July 26-30, 1:00-4:00pm - FULL
(for N/PW competitors or advanced level students)
new - A camp has been added to the schedule! This camp is for returning Teelin students only, and will be offered in Timonium (see class locations). Material will be covered at a quick pace in hopes of bringing the Timonium young beginner dancers up to speed and ready for the 2010-11 Beginner II class in Timonium. Class placement recommendations will be given to each participant at the end of the camp week.
Young Beginner Camp - August 16-20, 10:00-11:00am (9:30-10:30am on Wed only)

OIREACHTAS CAMPS
This year the Irish Dance Regional Championships will be held in the DC area on Dec 3rd, 4th & 5th, 2010. Oireachtas Solos Camps are open to Champion level dancers, or by invitation. Dancers who would like to compete in solos are required to attend this camp AND the Wednesday evening practice sessions. Participation does not guarantee registration for the Oireachtas - that will be decided by Maureen and Molly in September.
The Oireachtas Figures Camp is for those dancers who have been invited to a 2010 team. (If interested in being considered for a team, please discuss with Maureen &/or Molly). Team dancers are encouraged to attend this camp AND the Monday evening practice sessions. Participation does not guarantee registration for the Oireachtas - that will be decided by Maureen and Molly in September.

TEELIN IRISH DANCE COMPANY SUMMER CAMPS
(These camps are only open to members of the performance company - read more.) All dancers in the 2010-2011 Teelin Irish Dance Company are required to attend their troupe's Summer Camp. The camps will bring dancers up to speed on the performance pieces, and offer fun team building opportunities within each of the troupes.
Company Camp: August 2-6, 1:00-5:00pm
