Irish Dance Camp for New Beginners

For new students who are interested in beginning Irish Dance, this summer camp is a fun way to learn a lot of Irish dance in a short amount of time!  Each group will dance for 1 1/2 hours daily (Monday thru Friday) at the Columbia studio.  Families are invited to watch a brief skit demonstrating their dancers' new skills on the last day of camp - bring your cameras!  Cost: $125

            New Beginners Ages 8&Up - June 23-27, 2:00pm-3:30pm

Note: Dancers in the New Beginner and Tiny Toes camps need not purchase Irish dance shoes for this one week of camp.  Dancers may participate in bare feet or ballet shoes.

Teelin Tiny Toes Camp

Who says Irish Dance Camp is just for "the big kids"?!  Preschoolers ages 3-5 will love this opportunity to learn some basic Irish dance skills through music and movement activities in a half hour class! Cost: $40

Irish Dance Camp for Levels 1 & 2 (Advanced Beginner)

Strengthen your basic technique (soft & hard shoe) while having fun with Teelin friends!  This camp will help prepare you for some of the more complicated steps in your classes next year.  Cost: $200

Irish Dance Camp for Levels 3 &Up (Novice)

This camp will help to eliminate any gaps in your basic technique and will introduce and explore some of the more advanced soft and hard shoe techniques.  Cost: $200

            July 14-18, 1:00pm-4:00pm

Oireachtas Camp

This camp is open to all Preliminary and Open Champion level dancers, or by invitation.  Dancers who would like to compete in the Irish Dance Regional Championships in December (which will be in Orlando this year) are required to attend this camp AND at least 4 of the 5 Monday evening practice sessions.  Participants will drill advanced techniques and Oireachtas steps.  Participation does not guarantee registration for the Oireachtas - that will be decided by Maureen in September.  Cost: $325

            Camp:  June 16-20, 4:00-7:00pm

            Practice Sessions:  Monday evenings 4:00pm-6:00pm, July 14-Aug 11

Teelin Irish Dance Company Summer Camp

(These camps are only open to members of the performance company.)  All dancers in the 2008-09 Teelin Irish Dance Company are required to attend their troupe's Summer Camp.  These camps will bring dancers up to speed on the performance pieces, and offer fun team building opportunities within each of the troupes.  Cost: $200

            Apprentice Troupe:  July 21-25, 12:00noon-3:00pm

            Black Troupe:  July 28-Aug 1, 12:00noon-3:30pm

            Red Troupe:  August 4-8, 12noon-3:30pm
