ADMISSION
Event admission is $3 per person in advance ($12 pre-paid family maximum), or $5 per person at the door ($20 family maximum). No admission fee for competitors or for children under 5. Family maximum for immediate family members only.
FESTIVAL INFORMATION
The Teelin Competition was previously held at the Teelin studio in Columbia. However, as the school has grown, a larger space is needed for this event, and we have expanded the event to include the fun of an outdoor family festival! Please bring blankets or lawn chairs for seating. Coolers welcome. Meal packages
will be available for sale – hot dog, chips and a drink for $4; or chicken fingers, chips and a drink for $5.

COMPETITION INFORMATION
Teelin Irish Dance Festival serves to introduce dancers and musicians to Irish dance and music competitions in a smaller and more personal environment than a sanctioned feis. Dance competitions are open only to students in the Teelin School of Irish Dance. Music competitions are also open to Teelin family members.

Judging
Dance competitions will be judged by an experienced Irish Dance Instructor/TCRG from a different school (not a Teelin instructor). Dancers will be judged on their presentation of two full steps for each dance category performed to music played at feis regulation speeds. Music competitions will be judged by a professional Feis Musician.
Dance Costumes
Dancers who own a Teelin School competition costume or a solo costume should wear it. If not, girls should wear a black skirt and white blouse, boys wear black pants and white shirt. All girls must wear white poodle/bubble socks, boys wear black knee-high socks, adults may wear black tights. There will be a designated dressing area for dancers changing into or out of costume. Dancers must wear appropriate Irish soft or hard shoes (except Tiny Toes). Double knot your laces! Shoes must stay tied during competition – at a feis, dancers are disqualified if laces come untied while competing.
Trophies & Certificates
Trophies and/or medals will be awarded in proportion to the number of entries in each competition and to the degree of proficiency shown. All dancers will receive a certificate of participation.
Fees & Registration
Competitors may enter as many or as few competition categories as they like. Mail registration form with check to: Teelin, 1 Class Court, Parkville, MD 21234. All registrations must be post marked no later than May 2, 2008. Late registration will not be accepted. Teelin instruct-ors will place students in the appropriate levels for the dance competitions they have chosen.
Stage Schedule - PRINT...
A stage schedule and estimated time for each competition group will be posted and emailed the week prior to the competition. Dancers/musicians are advised to be onsite at the festival at least 30 minutes prior to their scheduled competition time. Dancers must check in with the Stage Manager 15 minutes prior to their scheduled start time.
